7th Annual Homeschool Retreat
Homeschool families from across the Wyoming District are invited to a FREE summer gathering at the beautiful Lion’s Camp on Casper Mountain for worship, discussion, and fellowship.
This year’s speaker will be Dr. Caleb Karges from Luther Classical College. He will be giving three presentations:
1. The Counter-Reformation and the Power of Mom
2. Making Complaint Subjects: Pietism, the Enlightenment, and the Origins of Public Education
3. It Just Has to be Good Enough, So Get Going: A Military Historian’s take on Homeschooling
Activities are provided for children and plenty of free time for families to mingle.
Meals and lodging are provided. Families may stay in the cabins or bring a tent. Please bring linens or sleeping bags, toiletries, and anything else you might want for outdoor activities.
While this is a free event, donations to offset the cost of the facility rental and food are appreciated. Checks may be made out to the Wyoming District – LCMS or you may add a donation to your registration form online.
