Courage is lacking in our culture as arrogance and passivity abound. The internet and social media create an unnatural ability to communicate with other people and their ideas without actually looking them in the eye. Engaging with others through respectful and direct discourse is a dying art. Meanwhile, the sinful flesh grows stronger as Christian courage wanes. But the Bible offers a solution. Lutherans know this.
